What You'll Do

You will work in the Insurance Excellence Benchmark Team. The team provides cost and operational efficiency assessments by benchmarking data from (re-)insurance companies worldwide. You will support the end-to-end benchmark process with a focus on client interaction throughout the benchmark cycle, including data collection, validation, and analysis across multiple client engagements in rapidly changing environments and target markets. At the end of each cycle, you will support the delivery of benchmark results and key insights to (senior) stakeholders. 

YOU'RE GOOD AT

• Interacting with clients on a day-to-day basis through phone, emails, or face-to-face meetings 
• Analyzing quantitative and qualitative data sets to identify key insights, uncover underlying drivers, and translate findings into meaningful business context 
• Navigating complexity and ambiguity with a solution-oriented mindset, even under time pressure 
• Working with global, virtual teams while maintaining strong attention to detail 
• Collaborating effectively in virtual or in-person team dynamics 
• Structuring, writing, and sharing intellectual property clearly and concisely 
• Linking data analysis to prevailing insurance trends and issues 
• Building strong, collaborative relationships 

What You'll Bring

• Master's degree with demonstrated high academic achievement, preferably in (Business) Informatics, Business Mathematics, Business Administration or Economics
• 2+ years of relevant work experience within consulting, preferably in the field of the financial sector or 4+ year of relevant work experience in the Insurance Industry
• Strong analytical skills paired with a deep understanding of client priorities and the ability to deliver value through data and AI-driven insights
• Proficient MS Office suite knowledge, esp. Excel and PowerPoint
• Fluency in German and English - French or Spanish as an additional advantage but not required

As a Senior Analyst you will collaborate with global topic leads and colleagues across BCG to bring expertise and capabilities to the service of our internal and external clients.

The Insurance Excellence Benchmark Team is part of BCG’s global Insurance Practice and INS Vantage as functional and industry experts, the team combines deep insurance expertise, proprietary benchmarks, and advanced analytical assets to support client engagements worldwide. Working closely with BCG case teams and staffed on BCG cases, the team delivers data-driven insights, operational efficiency assessments, and industry expertise to inform strategic decisions, while also contributing to business development and the continuous evolution of BCG’s intellectual property.
